Dora Celentano creates unique visual worlds that evoke a sense of longing. Her work explores the interplay between external images and internal ones—and vice versa. Which images surround us and shape our perception of reality? In 2018, she completed her studies in painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy as a master student of Prof. Stefan Kürten. She has been awarded the Lions Grant BEST Project Grant Award, the 2019 van Rinsum Scholarship of the VdDK 1844, and the ARTPIQUER Painting Award. Additionally, she has participated in residencies at the Pada Studios in Lisbon and at the Cité des Arts in Paris.
